July 2026 Concerts | Bei Bei & Li Daiguo Live in Southern California
This July, internationally acclaimed guzheng artist and emerging guqin performer Bei Bei joins experimental multi-instrumentalist Li Daiguo for two intimate Southern California concerts exploring the boundaries of traditional Chinese music, free improvisation, meditation, and contemporary acoustic sound.
Each performance is a unique, unrepeated musical experience that blends ancient Chinese instruments with spontaneous creation, inviting audiences into a space of deep listening, contemplation, and transformation.

Cold Mountain – A Musical Meditation

Inspired by the legendary Chinese poet and Taoist hermit Han Shan (Cold Mountain), this immersive concert unfolds as a live improvised musical journey through stillness, nature, and timeless wisdom. Featuring guzheng, guqin, pipa, cello, overtone singing, and spontaneous acoustic textures, the performance invites listeners into a contemplative landscape where ancient philosophy meets contemporary expression.
